Stage 3 of the 43rd edition of the Keizer der Juniores took the peloton to Koksijde for a 99-kilometre race. The riders completed the stage in 2:09:59 at an average speed of 45.7 km/h. It was a particularly fast stage, with only very small gaps at the finish.
Maxime Mortier of Amicale Cycliste Bisontinne U19 claimed the stage victory. Matthew Fletcher finished second, with Mauro Keppens completing the podium. Kyano Cottignies finished fourth, followed by Jakub Pastva and Marius Engelbrecht Linde. A total of 113 riders crossed the finish line.
The general classification changed after the third stage. Victor Devos takes over the overall lead and now wears the blue jersey with a total time of 4:43:16. Kyano Cottignies is second at nine seconds, while Ole Jakob Garnvik is third at fourteen seconds. Edvin Sortvik Hansen and Maxime Mortier are both sixteen seconds behind the leader. Koen Sonnemans is sixth at twenty seconds, with Jannes Opstaele seventh at 21 seconds.
In the general youth classification, Victor Devos also leads with a total time of 4:43:16. Jannes Opstaele is second and Tuur Vandevelde third. Loek Hovers, Ezra Bateman and Bjørnar Dahle Flesjå complete the top six.
In the general mountain classification, Tijs Witte leads with 24 points. Victor Devos has 15 points and Mauro Keppens 9 points. The different climbs of the Hoge Blekker provided important points for riders including Witte, Keppens, Koen Sonnemans and Emile Boitte.
In the general team classification, Soudal Quick-Step U19 leads with an overall time of 14:10:45. Van Moer Logistics Cycling Team is second, fifteen seconds behind, while Amicale Cycliste Bisontinne U19 is third at 23 seconds. Uno X – NTG U19 and Cannibal B Victorious complete the top five.
After Stage 3, Victor Devos wears both the blue overall leader’s jersey and the white youth classification jersey. Tijs Witte wears the red jersey as leader of the mountain classification.
